Work: Volunteers will be working on a variety of activities in order to establish a sensory garden. The work will include landscaping, creating pathways, seats, tables, willow arches, gardening and so on. Location: Dare Valley Country Park is in Rhondda-Cynon-Taff which is traditionally an industrial area which has suffered as a result of the decline of mining and heavy industry. However you will soon find that it is one of the most friendly and warmest communities in Great Britain.The Environmental Education team which is based in Dare Valley Country Park offers residentials and day visits for local schools and community groups with themes such as habitats, environmental art and orienteering.The centre is in a lovely location with an ancient oak woodland, meadows, streams and lakes. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. The park is located about 25 miles from Cardiff. Requirements: Are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Accomodation and food: Volunteers will be staying in a Bed and Breakfast hostel in Dare Valley Country Park. There will be a kitchen available for the volunteers to use.
