Work: Volunteers will also participate in some global activities with children and young people in Carmarthenshire. Location: For many local people Welsh is their first language. Welsh is one of the oldest languages in Europe. It is still spoken by approximately 20% of the population. Partner: The group leaders will be a team of MTVs (medium term volunteers) who will be leading projects in Carmarthenshire for about 3-4 months. Requirements: Enjoy sharing their culture with young people. Accomodation and food: The group will live in the Glanaman Youth Resource Centre, staying in dormitory accommodation. The group will cook for themselves in the kitchen in the centre. The centre also has two bathrooms, a washing machine and a pool table. Glanaman itself is a small town but there is a post office, a couple of small shops and a pub.
