PROJECT (12 volunteers, minimum age: 18): The “Faï” is a farm that has been converted into an international residential centre and is situated at the level of 1100 m. Our project aims at bringing together people from different social and cultural backgrounds. Every year, international volunteers, families, handicapped people, young people coping with social issues or tourists come during their free time to participate in the restoration of the farm or to take a holiday. During this workcamp, the volunteers will take part in the transformation of an old stable into a multi-purpose room designed to host workshops downstairs and to create an activity room upstairs. In 2010, the work will consist of taking down the roof and the walls. The Faï farm is located in the South Alps of France, in a very secluded and well-preserved environment. There are many opportunities to organise walks in the mountains and cultural evenings and participate in local events taking place in the villages around.
