PROJECT (12 vols from 18 years): The town of Montendre has already hosted several international workcamps. This town of 3000 inhabitants wishes to promote its castle. The guards room, a large vaulted room, needs to be renovated to make it accessible to the public. The technical objective will be to renew the wall joints with lime mortar to restore and preserve the wall. The communicative aim will be to exchange cultural wealth between volunteers and the residents of Montendre through intercultural activities in schools or in the castle. The volunteers will also participate in the day of national heritage ( opening of all the buildings of French heritage, free entry for everybody). The town and La Maison des Bateleurs expect moments rich in exchange; conviviality and sharing. ACCOMMODATION : mixed, indoors, hosting center “La Maison des Bateleurs” : a very lively house! LOCATION: Montendre, 75km from the ocean, between Bordeaux and Angoulême. NEXT TRAIN STATION : Montendre.
