The project: The town of Auzat, situated in a lovely valley in the Pyrenees mountains, organises archeologic search since several years, at the Montral de Sos castle. It was originally built in the XIIIst century, on a high rock. A donkey will help you out carrying the needed material. A number of historical pieces has been found on the site : tools, potery, money... You will work with local volunteers from all walks of life as well as people under professional training. Works : The person in charge of the search will guid you. The search takes place every day; however you will alternate 1 day of work and 1 day off with half of the group, so as to get some rest. On rainy days (if ever there are some!) you will rather work on cleaning the founded objects. This is a work, sometimes challenging, but very interesting if you are fond of archeology.
