Type: Edu/Soc/Teach/Kid
Work: This is a charity school manage by volunteers for street, poor children who have no access to formal education system at Fisher Village under Long Bien Bridge, Red River, Ha Noi. Some of the children are forced to work and earn money by their parents since 4-5 years old. Tasks of volunteers are: Keeping the School clean, teaching and cooking free lunch for the children
Accommodation and Food: Volunteers will live in Youth House. Dormitory beds, water, light is provided. You can cook for lunch at the work place and dinner at the Youth House 1 after work.
Program: Work starts at 9 am. A group (team 1) will go to the market to buy food for lunch with local volunteers. Team 2: teaching children and team 3 will clean the house. You will have lunch with children and in the evening you can go out or cook by yourself.
Location: Our house is close to the city center, volunteers will have the chance to visit and explore many historical places as well as Vietnamese corners.
Remarks: Please bring sleeping bags, mattresses, clothes, raincoat, info material and pictures of your country.
Do not forget a smile.

Volunteering at the welfare center with disabled children and orphans
Type: Dis/kid/soci
Work: The center is an orphanage and vocational school for 1000 orphans and disables children, teenagers in Hai Duong province.
The work will be flexible and will be confirmed during the orientation of the camp. It can be: preparing food for the children and taking care of parentless babies, renovate the bedrooms of the children, paint the walls,
cleaning the center or dormitories.
Accommodation and Food: Volunteers will stay in the center. Beds are available. The group will have meals with the children at the canteen of the center.
Program: Your work starts at 9 am to 11:00 am and in the afternoon you
work from 2 to 4:30pm. There are different tasks to be done such as preparing food for the children, taking care of parentless babies and painting children's rooms or beds. In the evening you have free time where you can have leisure activities with kids or exchange culture with local volunteers.
Location: Hai Duong is about 50km away from Ha Noi city. It is quite calm in the city but there is some "town and club"-life around. However, you have to come back the center before 10pm.
Transportation: You catch a bus from Ha Noi (Luong Yen Bus Station) to Hai Duong

SJV1011 Children's Day Festival 24/05 - 3/06
Children's Day - Happiness for disabled children
Work: Children's day is the most important occasion when all normal kids are beloved and given gifts by parents, relatives and friends in Vietnam. However, our disadvantaged kids are not so lucky to enjoy the day. They are orphans, poor patients in pediatric hospital or street children at Youth House School, etc.
The work of volunteers is making presents, organizing a meaningful festival for the less fortune kids in and around Ha Noi.
Accommodation and food: Volunteer will live in Youth House 1 Center. Dormitory beds, water, light is provided. We have a house with bathroom, toilet, and water. Volunteers can cook their meal every day or go out. There are many local restaurants or restaurants from different countries.
Program: International and local volunteers will contact and discuss how to arrange a good festival for kids. Then volunteers go to the market and buy materials to make presents (candy, gloves, scarf, etc). There is free time in the evening.
Location: Close to the center of Ha Noi.
Transportation: Volunteers can catch a taxi or a bus from the Airport to our
accommodation.
