Titel
Location: Titel is located between Danube and Tisa, in the region of Bachka, Northern Serbia. The town has around 6000 inhabitants and is located closely to two or Serbia's biggest cities, Novi Sad and Blegrade. The river bank ok Tisa is one of the main rivers of Central Europe as well as one of Serbia's biggest secrets. It is rich with biodiversity and geological phenomenons (soon its part will be proclaimed a geopark). It is important to make local community aware of the natural heritage of their closest surroundings, before it become neglected or even destroyed. This camp is a part of a project between SCI Austria, SCI Switzerland, BSF Kosovo and PVN Albania, thus the majority of volunteers will be from these organizations and countries.
Accommodation: Big army-type tents at the river bank. Sleeping bag and sleeping background required.
Work/Project: Volunteers in their work will focus on cleaning the river bank and islands of Tisa river, as well as making it more inviting for taking a rest or spending free time. Study part will concern relation between environment and human rights as well as the natural heritage of Tisa's river bank.
Language: English will be the official language in the camp
Terminal: The closest big city is Novi Sad (40 km), from which it is easy to get to Titel. It is also possible to arrive directly from Belgrade (50 km).
